Glamorgan County Order of Merit

The Glamorgan County Order of Merit comprises seven events, played on courses across the County from early May through to the middle of September, which produces a winner who has played the most consistent golf over the season. It is also the qualification process for the Presidents Cup in which the top 16 players play off in a Matchplay format over two consecutive days.


The Neath Bell

The 1st event of the year always provides a really strong field of entrants on a golf course that is always in great shape to provide a stern test to the competitors.  See Entry Details here.

The Radyr HS Colt Cup

The next event take place in the nation’s capital at Radyr Golf Club.  Renowned for its fantastic greens and overall condition the Harry Colt design course is always a favourite with all the entrants. – See Entry Details here.

The County Championship

The Flagship event of the Golfing Calendar in Glamorgan is played on one of our Championship courses, attracting a large field and so carries more Order of Merit points.

Morlais Castle Bowl

The 1st of the Valleys Swing the Order of Merit takes us North to Morlais Castle Golf Club, a true test of mountain golf and usually provides winners of the highest quality in the county.

Mountain Ash Bowl

The 2nd leg of the Valleys Swing takes us one valley across to Mountain Ash, again a fabulous venue and a warm welcome always awaits the competitors. You have to play well and score well if you want to take points from this venue.

Cardiff Feathers

The Order of Merit return to the Capital City for the last two events, the newest event of the calendar The Feathers is played around one of the finest courses in Glamorgan in Cardiff Golf Club. The treelined and mature golf course will provide challenging examination of the players’ skill.

Glamorganshire Baffie

The last event in the Calendar is a visit to the Glamorganshire Golf Club. Another Fantastic layout with challenges for all players and usually fantastic putting surfaces. The last chance to gain points to qualify for the Presidents Cup.
