The 2021 County Championships took place at Cardiff Golf Club. A Sunday that was forecast to be windy and wet but fortunately the rain stayed away. A field of 64 golfers teeing off from the 1st and 11th allowed the day to go without a hitch. The golf was good with Tom Williams shooting the lowest gross score of the day with a 66 in the afternoon session beating a morning score of 74 giving Tom a healthy second place. The day was won by Dave Barrell of Wenvoe, a morning score of 70 was then beaten by a 69 in the afternoon in conditions that were not ideal. The course was presented in fantastic condition and our thanks go to Cardiff Golf Club for their hard work and warm welcome.

Winning the Colt Cup was Lloyd Walters of Morlais Castle with a respectable score of 75/71, a great effort by the youngster.

The team Event was won by Mountain Ash with Ian Flower, Rhys Carhart and County Captain Luke Thomas lifting the trophy on the day.

A big thank you to all the officials who ran the day and special thanks to Jamie at Cardiff G.C. who was on hand to help with the scoring.
