Cardiff's Jacob Harrington Wara added his name to the list of winners of the County Junior Championship. Considering the recent weather the Aberdare course was in fine condition and presented a worthy test. The course is known for it sloping fairways and in its dry condition demanded precise tee shots and well struck irons. Jacob proved himself equal to the task and won comfortably by 7 strokes from Southerndown's Harry Watkins. The Ivor Nicholls Trophy for best 36 hole nett score went to Thomas Hedley from Maesteg.
Our thanks to the Aberdare club and its members for allowing use of their facilities. As has been said the course was in excellent condition and the welcome and hospitality from clubhouse staff and members was superb.
